First and foremost, I would like to nominate Jenn, for most positive, and energetic bride of 2022 award. (This should be a thing.) Her overall uplifting spirit shined through the whole planning process, and her wedding day was no different. I mean who else do you know that can get their fiance, family, and friends to run a 5k the morning of their wedding??
Jenn and Rob’s wedding took place at the Pavilions at Penfield Beach on a GORGEOUS July day. I love this venue for many reasons, but mainly because it allows me to be creative, and allows my couples to do as much or as little as they want with the space. The beachside floor to ceiling glass windows aren’t too bad either ;)
The weather was perfect for their beach ceremony. Eucalyptus lined the aisle, while a beautiful display of driftwood, thistle, and pampas grass framed the couple as they said their vows.
A very important request of Jenn’s was to incorporate her late mother, in a subtle, but meaningful way. She had mentioned to me that she is always reminded of her mom when she sees a white bird or feathers. We came up with the idea to put a feather on each place card on her seating chart, with the quote “White feathers come from the purest angels, and thus are messages of peace, love, protection and light." Kate, from Fountainhead Floral also incorporated a feather on her bouquet. I have no doubt her mom was with her! Special thanks to Erica Jean Calligraphy for making our vision come to life!
They wanted a classy reception, with casual vibes. Soft blues and clean white, gave the space a sophisticated, but calm feel. Guests were welcome to take polaroids in front of the greenery and champagne wall and leave a message for Jenn and Rob in their photo guest book.
As the sunset, Timmy Mia and his band kept the dance floor alive under a blanket of beautifully strung lights by Vivid Events.
You know it's a great time when guests don't want to leave!
